Danny Smith of Barron, WI peacefully slipped away Sunday, Dec 15 at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, and adventure. Words cannot express the wake that Danny leaves behind; his impact on others is felt throughout the community.
Danny will be forever remembered for his singing, fiddle playing, intellect, and charisma. Music enriched Danny’s life and he used it to enrich the lives of others, to build lifelong friendships, and break language barriers. Spending his later years in the bucolic serenity of his beloved farm in Boscobel, Danny read, maintained a large garden, and hosted his infamous annual summer parties attended by a diverse group of neighbors, musicians, and his loved ones.
Danny is survived by his sisters Susan and Toni, brother Jeff, wife of 20-years Kathy, son Max, grandson August, and life partner Julie.
